Guess what has just arrived at my home a couple of days ago:
Now my fingers will seriously be very busy.

Snoozed
It was a very fine morning in another day of a week, a week that starts to force kids to rise and shine early in 6 AM to slip into their neatly ironed uniform that had been hanging dormant for around two weeks in the cockroach-filled cupboard. Apart from such internal disturbance, however, the morning was really fine. Drops of dew slowly flowed down atop the leaves outside the cordon of houses, fighting against the inertia caused by the freezing air. Little birds started to fly around and sometimes landed on the branches of trees, warbling indefinite yet quite good to hear songs. Breeze started to blow, causing the passing by old lady to shiver a bit. That was all, and it all was a nice view to view.
Even from within my cold-filled room, from on my tender and tempting bed, I perfectly knew that the morning was very good to enjoy as well as too good to be wasted by hasty business. But fate wasn't mine to control, and then...
Something bad happened. My alarm buzzed.
The tone I set for it was a beautiful melody, yet it sounded like an awful horror movie tune. It kept on buzzing and piercing into my cozily rested ears for minutes, that I couldn't hold such horror for any longer. And I did something...wrong, probably.
I snoozed the alarm.
The threat was taken down, but my mind immediately became uneasy though my eyelids were not opened even for an inch. It should be around thirty minutes past five when the alarm buzzed, and thus I should already be on my feet, to proceed with lazily walking down the stairs and to the bathroom. But I didn't. I stayed still on my bed, and even drowned myself even deeper into the clutch of the bed and pillows. And as the peacefulness took me away from reality...
BUZZ.
The horrible noise struck once more. And you wouldn't need to repeat the fifth paragraph since it is THAT obvious what action did I take. Such menace continuously happened up to the next thirty minutes...
Up to. The. Next. Thirty. Minutes.
By that time, normally I would've been ready in my dust-covered shiny black pair of shoes, but instead my feet hadn't even touched the floor. And either way, the school bus should've arrived in front of the front lawn of my house by that time. In an unutterable panic, I immediately jumped out of my bed and rolled down the stairs, crashed down into the bathroom and splashed myself with any water provided by the shower, tore the towel and scatter it around myself to dry the wet, and finally reached myself in all the uniform and shoes, and bag and watch. All are done and I may have managed to make it into the school bus, and though I got a few deadly stares from the other passengers as well as the driver, more importantly I'd discovered my new arch-nemesis.
Q: Why do alarms have the SNOOZE feature?
A: The answer for this one question should be quite obscure. Since alarms were created by humans, who should've known perfectly their own nature, probably that's the answer: human nature. Laziness is a part of human nature as well as procrastination, hence the SNOOZE feature. Though arguably, the SNOOZE feature clearly destroys the purpose alarms itself.
Q: And if you have known that the SNOOZE feature on alarms will do you no good, why do you keep on pressing it everyday?
A: Related to the answer of the first question, and since I myself am a human as well, then it is the same source of answer: human nature. And I only do make a good use of the feature.
Q: Describe the SNOOZE feature in three words.
A: Evil. Tempting. Irresistible.

That Awkward Moment
I bet you all have ever been caught in moments where you feel awkward.
That awkward moment when you have just done with swimming. You head to the changing room which is also the restroom at one blow. You are heading to the locker, still wet and only with your pants on, when suddenly a dapper-dressed man from a party that is held on the poolside enters the restroom and stares at you. You stare back at him, and realize that he is dressed neatly in a set of suit, while you are half-naked. The man goes, and you are still wondering if you have been in the wrong place.
That awkward moment when you meet with a lovely girl somewhere. A lovely girl you would sacrifice everything to-yet don't and will never-know. You want to keep your eyes on her, however you know you can't since you don't want her to notice yourself or else, you are dead. So you stand in the point between far and close, stares at her and do nothing other. The girl then stands up to leave, but you don't want to miss her and thus you follow her from the back. Minutes go by and the girl suddenly turns her head back, and at the same time you pretend to turn away.
That awkward moment when you are relaxing a bit with your earphones on. Then someone calls you and asks you to do something, but thanks to the earphones that are stuck in your ears you pretend to hear nothing, even though the volume isn't that high that you can clearly hear what the person say. But then another someone approaches you and tells something good, and you immediately reply. The first someone figures out that you were pretending to not listen, and you don't have any excuse to say.
That awkward moment when you are in somewhere sometime, together with some people you know. But among those people you are with, some are the friends of someone you know, thus you don't know that some people. Then that some people you know leave for a while and promise to come back, but in the meantime you are left with those some people you are yet to know. Since neither you nor those people know one another, you try hard to avoid eye-contact with those some people so you will not be caught in an awkward interaction. Sadly, you feel that not noticing them will be too rude, but at the same time you can't and won't talk to those people you don't know. The only thing you bother to do next is praying for your friends to come back very soon.
Probably it is inevitable that we will never be able to run away from the moments where we are pitted to face awkwardness and the lack of knowledge of what to do. But probably that is life, and we indeed have to face them so that we can earn more awareness on how to face such situations we can't avoid. Unfortunately, born as a shy introvert, it is too much toughness for me.
That awkward moment when this is supposed to crack you up but you aren't.

The Found and Sugar Heaven
Maybe a boy found his love when he is strolling through bookshelves, searching for his favorite cheap sci-fi books. As he opened some books, he noticed a girl across himself, reading entirely different type of books. From the corner of his eyes he caught slight sweetness, but was too shy to raise his head up. Time went by awkwardly when suddenly a little girl ran across them and cried indefinitely, attracting both's attention. The girl ran away, leaving both staring coyly one to another, and eventually shared their sweetest smiles and found their own way.
Maybe a girl found her love when she is gracefully swimming through the clear blue sea, when she noticed a boy helplessly drowning down. She chuckled happily and gloriously dived down and pulled the boy out of the water. Dragging him to the shore, she spent her time there waiting for the boy to regain his consciousness and when he did, he smiled a thanks and the girl sweetly replies, and they eventually found their own way.
Maybe a boy and a girl found one another in one lame party, when they were dully waiting in a queue to get themselves bowls of soup. She caught his eyes with her cuteness, and he caught her eyes with his mild manner. Trapped in the tedium, they would rather spend their time getting to know one another and threw aside their bad-tasted soups, and they found their own way.
Those were all fate's game, unpredictable and always come without any initial warning or signs. People may find what or who is destined to be with them in any time, any where. They will never know when it will happen. Suddenly, they will find the way and go along with it. And it is actually a beautiful fact, thing, or rule that exists in this world.
On a side note, I have also found my own way.
This is my source of life. Sprinkles and Cookies equal life, world and heaven to me. Or sugar heaven. Or diabetes.

Crossroads and Milestones
Believe me, I'm fighting through hard times. Hence you don't really need to question me much of why I'm being pretty quite lately.
Sometimes, and most times I always think life is screwing things for me, and it has been a waste. There have been so much obstacles, temptations, tests of some sort, and many more things you probably can't believe to happen to me. You can't imagine how much I've grown tired of such things. And in those times, I've always been thinking of giving everything up.
In all honesty, I've always felt that I've never got away from loneliness. And it is not the 'loneliness' you think I'm talking about; for all this time, I've never felt how it is to stick around with people who care for us and also we care for in anywhere, anytime. I'm always alone. It's like even if I'm gone with no trace, people won't bother looking for one. And in those times, I've always been thinking of giving everything up.
With all those things happening in my life, I am definitely caught in all kinds of desperation, in all kinds of fear, in all kinds of vacillation. All in all, I am caught in a crossroads, where I am left unable to decide which way to take. Sometimes I think that it is no use for me to be known to exist and thus it will be better for me to pull myself away from everything. Sometimes I wish things go very swiftly lest I can be set free of all those things I'm too scared to face. Lest I can face the Face I'm always curious to see and lest I can be in the eternal serenity I've always been dreaming of.
In those times, I've always been thinking of giving everything up. But in those times also, I've always been made aware that I have to believe. To believe that I still have that faith I've been standing for and with through all this time.

"Trust in the Lord and do good; so you will live in the land, and enjoy security. Take delight in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in Him, and He will act. Be still before the Lord, and wait patiently for Him."
(Psalm 37:3-5, 7a)
And then I know, this is the path I have to take. Leaving all the grace He has kindly given is not wise at all, leaving the One we can always rely on is never right. And from this on, shall I change the way I live; it is a milestone for me once more.
Milestones will not stop appearing in our life unless we want them to. Changes are never late to be made unless we won't make one. The world may turn rogue toward me, but should I be not unsteady, and must I stand on, with, and for that I've been standing for the whole of my life.

Hatched
It's Easter. I had a holiday.
It is quite apparent that the holiday has planted deep in me my insomnia nature to be a part of my habit. I barely slept during the one-week holiday. As usually I yawn when it's close to midnight, I didn't at all. My eyes were completely wide-opened. I didn't feel growing languid; instead I felt like I was still on my peak. Even the darkness didn't make me feel sleepy. In the end, I went to bed not because I wanted to, but because I had to. Probably I would be kicked out of the house if I kept on making the noises while everyone's asleep.
While I did not sleep, I tried to list down what or not to do if you can't sleep. Thus follows:
01. Try to sleep.
02. At least close your eyes for a while. You may or may not end up sleeping.
03. Do not keep the lamps on. May bother the others.
04. Delve the darkness and the shadows. Hallucinations of terrifying stuffs are inevitable however.
05. Listen to some music. Calming, tranquil, soft and slow songs suggested. Heavy rock songs not suggested. And never forget to USE your earphones.
06. Study. I guarantee you will fall asleep no later than five minutes.
But it's Easter. It is not your time to complain over things. It's time to be grateful.
Dear God, I was terribly lost / When the galaxies cross and the sun went dark /
Dear God you're the only North Star / I would follow this far
Oh Telescope, keep your eye on my only Hope / Lest I blink and be swept off the narrow road /
Hercules, you got nothing to save me / 'Cause you're not the blinding light that I need /
For He is the saving grace of the Galaxies
Well, it is what Easter means. The Savior has risen, so we shall be thankful for Him and be grateful since we have been saved. Even the eggs for me have some sort of meaning.
The eggs are shells. Shells of sin, death. For He has risen, the egg of death has been hatched. For He sacrificed Himself to save us from our sins, the shell of sins has been broken. We, the dust He formed, are all saved, and shall we thank Him for that. We may not be able to get rid of sins for the whole of our life, but since we have been given a chance of renewal, should we keep it low down. That is Easter to me. And I am trying to do so.
Test week ahead. Must study.

The Wonder of 8-Bit
I can't believe it. I'm still owning it.
Well it's not the actual picture of my Nintendo Entertainment System, NES for short; mine is buried under cupboards and thick dusts. But really, there's still one in my house.
NES is a video game console released in the third generation, or the 8-bit era. In its era, this console is every children's dream as great video games were released to be played in the console. And not only in its era, it left a great legacy until now, and some video games in NES console are considered to be the best video games the whole time.
I'm not an '80s guy, but my pops is. Well for brief, he owned it in his younger age, and he kept it to be inherited to my brother and then to me, of course. At the age of four, I wasted my time to sit on the floor and stare on the TV, following the pixels' movement.
And don't think I've forgotten the video games I used to play everyday; they were the greatest. And thus follows:
1. Super Mario Bros.
Who doesn't know this game? It was one of the earliest platforming game, and to date the best. And asking who can forget the theme song is a stupid question.
And to be frank, I wasn't able to complete even a level of it. But talking for a four-years old, I don't know if it was likely or unlikely. It was difficult. Actually still a bit, now. Foremost if you're getting here:
Ah. Sweet. A masterpiece. And it wasn't hold only one of the best games with a very pleasant gameplay, also it was the game with the BEST theme song. Ever.
| The Super Mario Song MP3 Download |
Masterpiece. 'Nuff said.
2. Pac-Man
And also, who doesn't know this but cavemen? The lil' yellow beads-eating guy that were chased by four 'spooky' ghosts.
With another memorable music; chiptune and electronic musics in the video game which perfectly fits the style of '80s, this video game probably was the golden age of video games.
Also, there's a memorable quote regarding the video game in a rather humorous tone.
"Did you know that the original name for Pac-Man was Puck-Man? You'd think it was because he looks like a hockey puck but it actually comes from the Japanese phrase 'Paku-Paku,' which means to flap one's mouth open and closed. They changed it because they thought Puck-Man would be too easy to vandalize, you know, like people could just scratch off the P and turn it into an F or whatever."
-- Scott Pilgrim, Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010)
Hilarious. And somewhat epic. Interestingly, pretty much things regarding this game sounds epic. Even for such an unrelated humorous quote.
3. Tetris
I did play this too when I was younger from my current young age. And with all frankness, this game is one of the MOST annoying game I've ever played in the console.
Your goal in playing this game is...pretty much nothing but to keep the blocks dropping and to keep them for reaching the top end. Fun? Well, it's not a 'no', though I hardly able to not reaching the end. Useless? Yes. I mean, you will also be annoyed if your older brother who is an expert in playing the game asked you to join the Multiplayer game and watching you beaten in every level. Again and again. If such situation did occur not, probably I won't be that bitter toward this game.
It's better than Spica though.
4. Mega Man
Before he became a popular icon among kids and Japanese comic books, Mega Man in the game's cover was actually a more human looking man, wore a blue Astronaut-suit like, and wielded a gun instead having a gun as his hand.
Somehow in the game, he acquired the 'Super-Deformed' form he became popular with, and I never really knew what exactly happened to his hand and the gun that magically merged with it.
The game play was simple: blast your way in each level to get to the boss, and of course in order to reach the final boss. For a simple good vs. evil story which we hardly can concern of and standard side scrolling action-platforming game, somehow this game was pretty interesting. Or can be said, challenging, since the game was difficult even if you're talking about beating one level. But with all its simplicity, this game and foremost the Mega Man himself managed to achieve a position as a gaming icon and also a popular name in the world. Branching to other media and spawning numbers of sequels and spin-off video games were of course also inevitable.
Fingers crossed my NES system is still working. I'm planning to play with it once more.

If You Need Things to Describe the Word Epic, These Are
I'm telling you, it won't take so much time to amaze you with these videos.
First off, I'll explain that stop motion is an animation technique to make a physically manipulated object appear to move on its own. The object is moved in small increments between individually photographed frames, creating the illusion of movement when the series of frames is played as a continuous sequence. So briefly, you make a pose of an inanimate object, one by one, and connect the shots to create an effect that the thing is moving. Get what I mean? Sounds tiring, yes. And imagine that if this guy created these using the same technique to action figures.
In my own opinion, these are the best way to waste your spare time, channel your creativity or ingenuity, and attract people all over the world, of course. I'll say this guy is a genius. Fun. Hilarious. In one word, EPIC.
And this one is a different stuff. Still the same epic and hilarious. Or cute. Or whatever.

I Am Number Twelve
Dear friends,
Where shall I even begin?
Oh wait. I don't even know where to. Let me think of it.
Twelve.
What do we do with it? Is it a such special number that you and I have to concern about? Or does it lead to something far greater? Go figure, but speaking the matter of fact, it actually IS merely a random number that I accidentally picked.
Oh well. To be frank, I'm talking of the hour when I can finally fall asleep every night.
Seriously, if I can say, the insomnia has taken over me. I barely yawn every night. Sleeping sound like a great thing to be done if I can do it. And even sometimes I 'm afraid of falling asleep. In dreams, everything can be. I can come face to face with the thing that is my greatest fear. Dreaming of it even can send me away to limbo. Or even in dreams, I can meet the angelic girls I dream of even in real world. And that will kill me, as I know it is merely a dream. When I'm awake, the fact that I can't ever afford those dreams really hurts.
Maybe some of you are wondering, 'So does this person go to sleep?'. Yes of course I do, in the end. But I have to wait for quite a long time for this sleepy feeling to visit my head and closing my eyes. I always don't want to sleep, I prefer doing things in the midnight. But as you all know, I am a desperate school boy, who like it or not, have to wake up early in the morning to avoid being reviled by teachers.
If I have to wait for quite a long time to feel sleepy, then what I do in the meantime?
I wonder. I imagine. I hope.
Look, I'm talking about hoping this and that. You know what is this and that, if you know me. And you may suspect this will lead to a hopeless love talk once again; yes it is indeed. I don't know why, but as a stripling my mind and heart become very unstable. But I decide that girls are far too complicated for me to understand, if I can say some of them are as complicated as math equations.
Well, not pretty much as complicated as this.
I've done talking about girls. Maybe the best way to its conclusion is to...wait, hope. Pray. Oh, don't get me started.
Yay, tiramisu cakes.

The Sole Noel
It's hard to deny that it's close to Christmas. And it also means that the end of the year has come. To me, it's quite hard to steep the feels of Christmas since the atmosphere around me is extremely unsuitable for that.
There's no snow, the sun shines so bright instead. No Santa. No cookies (That's the worst part). There's no beloved one to spend Christmas with. And this year, the Christmas tree stays in the attic, since everyone is too lazy to take it out.
I didn't say I don't know what's the true meaning of Christmas. But with those feelings and celebrations, it should be far better. Then, I tried to make fun by myself, as hey, it's the holy holiday already. I'll still spend it here, but holiday can be anywhere.
EPIC:
They who are in vacation in the Attic:
Ebenezer Scrooge, humbug:
The bookworm's holiday stack of stock:
That's how I'll spend holidays, fooling around and becoming a true bookworm. But Christmas is not just about celebrations and fun. It has a deep meaning.
I believe, that Jesus is truly the only way. I celebrate Christmas because it's His birthday.
And in the end, I can only say:
Cheers and have a happy holiday,
Bobby

When You Encounter Bad Things
It is very pathetic, for someone to have bad days in a row. Or in other words, to have a bad week. And that someone, my friend, is the very person you know, the very person who is behind these words.
That was me.
First thing first, the final tests. There's NOTHING worse that this thing. But everything will get worse if you: a) Are having a toothache, b) Met up with a girl that suits your type.
Yes, finally I've paid visit to the dentist. And what I got is a pathetic, exceeded pain that lasts for 5 days or what (Until NOW). The dentist said that everything will be alright; and I tried to trust on her but I simply can't. And from my 2 brief visits, I have got bad things besides the pain itself. I've tasted a drill inside my mouth, needles, and even a superbly long hose.
And I've got the followings.
DEAR MRS. DENTIST, I SUGGEST YOU TO:
01. Reduce your blinding light.
02. Tell your patient when to open or close your mouth; I ended up opening my mouth for around an hour.
03. Do NEVER put a loud-roaring engine inside your practice space, that surely surprises your patient.
04. Install an Air-Conditioner within the space.
05. Strawberry or Chocolate flavored serum.
06. Not asking stuffs to your patient.
Among others. And what is pathetic is the fact that the dentist did those things to me. Yes, she entangled me in a conversation while she was checking into my mouth.
Dentist: (Checking my mouth) "Does that hurt?"
Me: (Mouth opened) "Uh-uh."
Dentist: (Injecting my tooth) "Did you use this side for eating?"
Me: (Mouth opened) "Nuh-uh."
Dentist: (Putting a hose into my mouth) "Hey, did you come to the choir rehearsal yesterday?"
Me: (Hose inside my mouth) "Ah-nuh."
And so on. Even though I just needed to say "Yes" or "No", but with your mouth opened and stuffs inside it, you can barely say a word. And your head must stay still, so you can't nod or shake your head for the answer. And I'm pretty sure, the dentist didn't know which one is "Yes", "No", or "Quite".
So that was my first sadness, and I should come there again for the third check. Duh.
And then, several days ago, I was strolling around the city and through into a plaza. I was rushing to the restroom to wash my face, since I slept in the car and I surely needed a face-wash to got rid of the sleepy effect on my face.
Then this girl came through, and walked in front of me.
On why meeting up with a girl is a bad thing:
You will be thinking of her for at least 3 days ahead. And since it's meeting without stopping; not knowing, bigger chance comes to 'You won't meet her again'.
Yeah, so she was clearly my type (But I can't describe the type, but I know of it). Oddly enough, she dressed in pink too. Maybe she was that girl, but I guess she's another. But I don't know for sure, since both are my type, so both may look similar.
She was walking to the restroom, too. And she walked VERY fast. I'm telling you, the way to the restrooms was this narrow, and quite-long and intricate dim alley. She was walking in front of me, so I must be behind her (Of course!?). I kept our distance for around 3 meters.
And suddenly, she turned her head back and stared at me.
She turned her head for around 5 times along her journey to the restroom. And I could tell she was looking at me, since there was no one other behind. Unless she got sixth-sense or what. And what I'm afraid of, is if she thought that I was stalking her.
Yeah, that's possible. But I was glad she looked back at me. Though I didn't know what was in her thoughts. And that was before we both arrived in front of the restrooms: female's straight ahead, and male's on the right.
And she turned right.
I stopped at the corner of the alley, and waited there. Uh-oh. I surely didn't want to get into that room with a girl inside. 10 seconds, and she ran out of the room, glanced at me, and rushed toward the female's.
Tongue in cheek.
I could see her pretty face blushed red. Then slowly I strode into the room, washed my face, and went out. I stepped my feet back into the alley, and the girl had just come out and quickly walked away. Again, she glanced at me. But at the end of the alley, I turned left and she turned right. So that was the end of that strange meeting, and I spent my time wandering around with the hope to see that girl again.
But I didn't.
So I classified that as a bad thing. Really, it was a bad thing to be in such situation. And worse, you didn't know what to do. So, it indeed was really a bad thing.
Well, the repeated thrice 'bad thing' should be a very clear indication.

A Crackled Enamel
Everything was all right. Nothing was wrong, I had my life as how it should be. I could do anything without any problem. Unless if the thing itself is a problem.
It was a week ago, before I felt this...pain. Tracing back, I found the source: the pain came from inside my mouth. Tracing deeper, I felt the pain right inside my mouth, right on the left side of my mouth. And tracing even deeper, it came from one of my teeth.
I have heard warnings from my school dentist, she said, "You have a hole in your teeth. Go to the dentist." You all know that she was talking of a professional dentist. By the way, I ignored her warnings, since it felt okay; nothing was wrong. And furthermore, how could that be? I hadn't eaten any sweets, chocolate, or anything that parents say to their kids can cause a toothache. I had reasons to ignore her warnings.
But back to several days ago, I felt this pain, and I dared to knock my teeth, where I guessed the pain came from. And...
Ouch.
Maybe God found out this naughty boy, who didn't want to hear the advice from Mrs. Dentist. Whatever the source, but I've got this very painful feeling. And I knew, at that very moment: I got a toothache.
This is my very first time, having a toothache. I don't know what to do, I even haven't told my Mum about this. I'm afraid someone will tie my head with a white cloth, and that will make me looks like I'm wearing a ribbon on my head. No. But it is exceedingly painful on the other hand. I can't sleep well, and even more painful, what I have to do is to punch my left cheek for the 10-minutes-painkiller.
The pain won't ever get lost.
And there's no other way than going to dentist. I'll tell Mum as soon as possible. And as for now, if tomorrow will be the end of the day, the last place I want to be is:
Because I don't want to rest with any additional pain; that's not peaceful.

Make a Wish
Several days ago, I was walking toward my house, in the midst of the tranquility of the night.
You have to know that opposite from the house of mine was a row of other houses, which roofs were not that high.
Then came this thing, across the black night sky.
It flew so fast, high from the sky and quickly swooped down until it disappeared on the back of one of the house. You may say 'It was merely a spotlight'. There were many spotlights around my house indeed, as my house was located close to a TV studio, which frequently appeared in the midst of night's clutches. But there was none of them was that bright, that big, that clear, and it was simply a spot, without the light tailed below it.
As a boy, whose work is reading and daydreaming, the first thing that came crossing in my mind was that it was something, it was a creature. And hence seeing this, my life will be changed forever. So can you read my mind? If no, go figure.
Then someone told me, 'It may be a shooting star'.
With all my senses, I finally thought, yes, it may be the truth.
So I quickly opened an unofficial board, letting people channel their wishes through me, so that I could send them to the presumably shooting star. Actually I myself doubted it, or in other words, I was still hoping it to be some sort of alien or extra-terrestrial or what.
It was quite a ridiculous phenomenon, which existence might be questioned. It was very rare, but when someone witnessed it, things became challenging and thus the truth was still needed to be questioned. Then someone spread this rumor, an urban legend or a belief, which truth should be questioned too. Some thought it was simply a tongue-in-cheek, but some really believed in it. There was nothing wrong in it, actually, but people might thought it was kinda ridiculous. But I was never too late to do a thing.
Yes, a thing. Go figure.

Before You Sleep
I can't believe I will be able to see some things that I do really miss. But magically, several days ago I found them; and one among them is my most precious, favorite childhood book:
Even until now, I do like the book, still. It consists of children rhymes, some of them are dramatic, some are just how rhymes should be, and some are funny. But all of them are really nice to give you tongue-in-cheek before you sleep, accompanied with nice kiddy-toned illustrations.
The followings are the rhymes that stand out among the others for me.
The Moon by Robert Louis Stevenson
The moon has a face like the clock in the hall;
She shines on thieves on the garden wall,
On streets and fields and harbour quays,
And birdies asleep in the forks of the trees.
The squalling cat and the squeaking mouse,
The howling dog by the door of the house,
The bat that lies in bed at noon,
All love to be out by the light of the moon.
But all of the things that belong to the day
Cuddle to sleep to be out of her way;
And flowers and children close their eyes
Till up in the morning the sun shall rise.
Block City by Robert Louis Stevenson
What are you able to build with your blocks?
Castles and palaces, temples and docks.
Rain may keep raining, and others go roam,
But I can be happy and building at home.
Let the sofa be mountains, the carpet be sea,
There I'll establish a city for me:
A kirk and a mill and a palace beside,
And a harbour as well where my vessels may ride.
Great is the palace with pillar and wall,
A sort of a tower on top of it all,
And steps coming down in an orderly way
To where my toy vessels lie safe in the bay.
This one is sailing and that one is moored:
Hark to the song of the sailors on board!
And see on the steps of my palace, the kings
Coming and going with presents and things!
Now I have done with it, down let it go!
All in a moment the town is laid low.
Block upon block lying scattered and free,
What is there left of my town by the sea?
Yet as I saw it, I see it again,
The kirk and the palace, the ships and the main,
And as long as I live where'er I may be,
I'll always remember my town by the sea.
The Policeman by Jan Struther
Every few hours
Throughout the night
He comes to see
That the Square is all right.
Slowly and solemnly
Round he goes
On his great flat feet
With their great blunt toes,
Shifting his very
Portentous weight
From side to side
With a rolling gait.
He flashes his lantern
Up and down;
His brows are bent
In an ominous frown
To see him you'd think
No thief would dare
To crack a crib
In Sycamore Square.
Yet when he's at home
You'll probably find
He's a jovial man
And extremely kind,
Who likes his pint
And a kipper for tea
The same as you —
Or, at any rate, me.
Daddy Fell Into the Pond by Alfred Noyes
Everyone grumbled. The sky was grey.
We had nothing to do and nothing to say.
We were nearing the end of a dismal day,
And there seemed to be nothing beyond.
THEN
Daddy fell into the pond!
And everyone's face grew merry and bright,
And Timothy danced for sheer delight.
"Give me the camera, quick, oh quick!
He's crawling out of the duckweed."
Click!
Then the gardener suddenly slapped his knee,
And he doubled up, shaking silently,
And the ducks all quacked as if they were daft
And it sounded as if the old drake laughed.
O, there wasn't a thing that didn't respond
WHEN
Daddy fell into the pond!
There are still many more nice rhymes too long to be written here. We realize that sometimes, things like these make us wish we are a child forever.

Island
Yes, I did attend another wedding party. Or frankly, I attended two wedding parties in a row in the days of my weekend.
The first, which was held on Saturday, was nothing special. It actually was a gold anniversary party, and I barely enjoyed the songs - of course, the band played Pop's appetite. And they even hired a lady rocker, which was actually in the same age of my late Granny. So seventies.
But the one which was held in Sunday, was an unbeatable beauty.

But the one which was held in Sunday, was an unbeatable beauty.
It was held on a golf field, but I prefer to refer it as 'island'. In fact, it looks like one; with a superbly large lake, that may look like a sea, plus crystal sands make it appear like a beautiful shore. Below the light of the moon, the island was a perfect place for a date, a candle-light dinner, or a wedding, of course.
Opposite the lake was another island - which was actually the same island, but the access to cross the lake was FAR on the east. Peer from the edge of the island, and you got to see the palm trees, and also beautiful fountains on the surface of the dark water of the lake.
The view was astonishing.
It may the simple definition of paradise. I barely mind the bride - who was actually my former course teacher - swayed by the beauty of the island. Then I tried to list the following:
6 ADVANTAGES OF LIVING ON A PERSONAL ISLAND
01. Since it is under your personal ownership, you may shout around with no worry of a wise old man that will reprove your acts.
02. Dig a little hole, put a flag, grab a stick, and you get a free golf.
03. Limitless stock of water from the sea.
04. And of course, free swimming pool.
05. Or grab a ball, plug two sticks, and you'll be able to play soccer - essentially, you can do anything you want.
06. When soccer or golf become dull, you can build sandcastles anytime.
6 DISADVANTAGES OF LIVING ON A PERSONAL ISLAND
01. With no companion, loneliness will definitely haunt you.
02. It may be creepy to be alone on the island in the night.
03. There's no use of living on a personal island, if you still have your homeworks.
04. By the way, sea water may be limitless, but then it is saltwater. And no one WANTS to drink saltwater.
05. (Related to point 01.) You may be able to play soccer, but will you play with no foe?
06. You may fell like you're a castaway.
Indeed, I am now dreaming of buying a personal island, build a super-cozy house on it, and live peacefully. But then dream is dream - unless I'm destined to be a zillionaire in the future.
Or I'll stay on the golf field.

Wedding
There were too many familiar faces.
Brevity, I attended a wedding reception of my Mum's friend's son. I used to know him and his family, but then I was 4 when I knew them, and it has been 9 years ago, so I may have forgotten their faces. Problem is they REMEMBER me very well, and thus I have to ask my Mum where they are; not which one, just to cover my stupidity, so at the very least I don't have to ask 'Sorry, who are you?' when they greet me.
Now forget the awkwardness. You can't tell when I don't act awkwardly; nearly NEVER. Attending a wedding party gives me an idea of life. It just suddenly popped out inside my mind, "Will this ever happen to me?".

I hate to admit that everything looked tremendously beautiful. The room itself was beautiful, and everyone's happy. Kids running happily here to there, and some teenagers were happy in other way; tasting any kinds of fancy food. The band sang love songs, and they were happy. Apart from my lack of concerns, the same question always wanders in around my head.
Still a kid, I am. But I frequently think of my future. Will I finish my study well? Where will I attend my college? Will I be what I want to be? Will I finish my book and be an author? Or will I ever get a keyboard and be a musician? Then, will I find a pretty girl I land my heart on, date her, propose her, and marry her? What will I do in my final years, and will somebody accompany me until the end of my life? This questions are actually unanswerable; again, I'm still a kid. It will be a long years of waiting to see the answer.
But sometimes, I realize myself as a part of the infamous Queen song:
"I'm just a poor boy, nobody loves me!"
Sometimes, I wish to get back to the beginning of everything, to get everything fixed and then go with my right life. But now, I wish I can skip everything and just GET THERE. Just to see what great plan He has prepared for me.
But sometimes I'm afraid, the questions are just questions, what if the answer of all of them is simply 'Never'? Actually, deep down in myself I don't really wish this to happen, too. You all know how my mindset works. When I get BACK to reality, it is simply like a daydream. But a sobering daydream...that sometimes I wish to come true. It's just a matter of time. Everything depends on the time.
Jokingly, what keeps me wish the wedding to happen to me? The cake.
